Pillar Legacy is a Melbourne-based community charity committed to supporting people experiencing homelessness and hardship with food, clothing and genuine care. Every Monday evening, our volunteers serve hot, freshly prepared meals at vic Market on Franklin Street while creating a welcoming space built on dignity, respect and human connection. Beyond our weekly outreach, we provide emergency food assistance across Melbourne—with a strong focus on Wyndham City Council —and help strengthen other charities by supplying food where it's needed most.

How is my donation used?

Every dollar donated to Pillar Legacy goes directly toward the front lines of food relief. Your contributions fund the procurement of fresh ingredients for our Monday night Franklin Street service, fuel our delivery vehicles for emergency food drops across Melbourne and Wyndham City, and maintain the infrastructure required to distribute bulk supplies to our partner charities. We pride ourselves on low overheads so that communal generosity translates directly into hot meals and essential care.

How can I volunteer?

We are always looking for dedicated individuals to join our street team or assist with food logistics. Our primary volunteer opportunity is our Monday night service on Franklin Street, where we serve hot meals and provide connection to our street family. Due to safety and coordination requirements, all volunteers must be registered and briefed prior to attending. To start the process, please contact us at 0447 238 321 to discuss our current shifts and complete a brief induction.

How can I donate goods?

We gratefully accept quality non-perishable food, new clothing, and essential hygiene items. To coordinate a drop-off or bulk donation—particularly for Wyndham-based businesses looking to support our supply chain—please reach out to our logistics team directly. We do not accept damaged or expired goods, as we believe in serving our community with dignity..
